The Sliders, in a war-zone world, meet a young woman who is on the run from a criminal who is trying to kill her. In a way, she is not that different from him, she is armed like him. Quinn wants to help her, and she joins the Sliders (temporarily it seems). But her 'boyfriend' who wants to kill her, follows the Sliders into their next Slide. This fellow makes life difficult for the Sliders, as he is always looking for somebody to kill. In the world where they have arrived, things look strangely calm. People use electric cars similar to those in the series The Prisoner. Indeed San Francisco here is an isolated place, like The Village. People cannot get out. They have to wear electronic bracelets in pairs, or the guardians will kill them. This was the best recent episode. At the end she is still with the Sliders.

The Sliders (minus the girl from the previous episode) witness a murder, and after sliding to the next world, they witness the same event. Wade tries to prevent the murder from taking place again and the Sliders are embroiled in a dangerous plot in a country living martial law for the past thirty years. There is no trace of the constitution, until the Sliders put it, unknowingly, on the Internet.
