The King is Back
Another world, new dangers. The crime of spray painting
a freeway overpass carries the death penalty here. Not just that, but in
Proposition 199, known as the "Instant Justice Initiative", the appeal process
takes only a moment - long enough for the judge to say "Request denied".
Quinn gets convicted of the crime of stepping on the grass, and
based on eyewitness and fingerprint evidence. This world's Alternate Quinn
probably has a criminal record, apparently. In this new dimension our Sliders find themselves in, Rembrandt
finds himself very welcome, actually the Sliders get treated like royalty. He is
mistaken for a long-deceased rock legend! Rembrandt is this world's Elvis, basically,
and there are Crying Man impersonators everywhere including a shrine to his
memory at Memphis. Once our sliders leave this world, Quinn and Rembrandt
get jobs as street vendors selling ice cream in this new dimension. The
Del Rubio Triplets appear in this episode.
